I wanted to say thank you to all who came and supported us at the UO Zine Fest yesterday. It meant a lot to us, and it was great to hear what everyone thought about the project, and we were delighted to have actually sold all the copies we had of Necrophobia, and ran out of the Legacy teaser zines.
To those of you who come here from that zine fest, by way of our various flyers, prints, and zines, welcome! There’s a lot to explore here, with more being added all the time.
Also, to those who signed up for our print raffle, the results will be out tomorrow, and we’ll contact you for mailing information. We’ll likely be having another raffle in the near future, with more products like complete comics, Necanic goodies, and more.
Work is currently underway on the second issue of Necrophobia, and the first issues of Legacy and Vanguard are getting closer and closer to completion every day. Stay tuned for more updates!
As always, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop a comment here, or shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re proud to announce that the first issue of our webcomic, Necrophobia, is fully completed. You can read it at https://necrophobia-comic.tumblr.com/post/158331117244.
Also, Necanic now has its first fully function font! You can download it here: http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/648376/Necanicv2.ttf
You’ll have to add it to your text-editing program manually, but it’s not too hard to do.
Hey there! We’ve made some updates to the Necanic Dictionary section of the website, and we’re so very close to having a working font.
As it stands, we’re in post-production for the comics, so expect something big in the next few weeks, as we finalize printing and touching up.
Also: stay tuned for a major renovation of the “Library Theory” section, to something that makes a whole lot more sense.
Happy New Year everyone.
As we said in the weeks up until this point, we had been hoping to launch the project on January 1st. However, between school, work, and a few emergencies, the content wasn’t up to the standards we had in mind.
Launch is delayed until later on this month, but we will continue to update with more artwork, information, and lore. Thanks for staying,
-The Library Project Staff
P.S.: We’re launching three more websites soon, keep a look out for the announcement!
The “Library Theory” section has been updated, including a (poorly-drawn) diagram. There’ll be some more pictures in the days to come, and more edits as well.
So, now time for a bit of “Library Theory,” but I’ll keep it short. All of these “Primes,” and their respective universes (and every other universe in existence) are contained within what we call “Panes.”
These Panes are really just different Universes and Realities, all of which are contained within “The Library.” (Now the title of the project might make some sense)
All of this is overseen by two entities, The Light Librarian, and The Dark Librarian. For now, let’s just say the Light Librarian oversees the creation of new “Panes” and positive energy, and the Dark Librarian facilitates the destruction of old ones, and negative energy.
The story, and where all of those Primes come in, is when the Dark Librarian, dissatisfied with their role, murders the Archivist, an individual whose sole purpose is to record all things, up to and including the end of time, and in doing so, creates an imbalance, in which there is now more negative energy. This, along with the Light Librarian’s intervention, causes the creation of all of these stories, the internal struggles and conflicts of which represent the larger scale conflict occurring “outside.”
There’s so much more to say, but I’ll talk about that at a later date.
Here’s some wonderful new art from Legacy, wherein Ecoura Suio, planetary geologist, finds out that all knowledge has a price. Be on the lookout for more information about this super cool space opera coming soon.
Also featured is our new mascot, a tiny Uborum! Ain’t he cute?
We’ve released the cover art for the first issue of Vanguard, featuring everyone’s favorite gangster, Spoon. You’ll be able to find out more about her escapades with interstellar police, fruit-based mobsters, and CEOs with galactic ambitions once this comic (and the other two, Legacy and Necrophobia) launch on New Years day!
This website will be getting more and more content as we get closer to the release date, so check back often for new posts, art, and much more!
This website is the home of The Library Project, a hugely ambitious multimedia storytelling project. In time, you’ll not only be able to see the comics we’re working hard to release, but also concept art, news, discussions, and much more.
Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to release (New Years), and explore the site to find out about this project.
