Click here to visit our kickstarter page for Necrophobia Volume I!
I’m extremely proud to announce that we’re launching our kickstarter, featuring the first complete volume of Necrophobia. This is comprised of the first three issues, along with tons of extra art and story content. For those of you thinking of donating, there are tons of awesome rewards we’re offering to go along with it, so don’t miss out!
This campaign will be running for 30 days, and should end right around Valentines Day in February. What better way to say “I love you” than with a big book of cadaverous art and rotting flesh?
Also, keep your eyes peeled for the physical release of Legacy #1, which will be available on our store soon.
Hey there everyone! We’re only two weeks away from the zine fest, and we’re nearing completion on not only the second issue of Necrophobia, but the first edition of the definitive guide to the Necanecum, the Elvetakom Necanecum, and the first issues of Legacy and Necrophobia.
As always, keep your eyes peeled for more updates, and check back over the next two weeks to see everything we add!
As some of you may have noticed, the links for Necrophobia, Legacy, and Vanguard now go to their respective webcomics! We’re super excited to be sharing these with you all (To read, click these: Necrophobia /Legacy /Vanguard). Necrophobia updates every Monday, Legacy updates every Friday, and Vanguard will update on Wednesdays.
We’ve also made some updates to the main website, including an entirely new Necanic grammar page and a reworked Library Theory page. Along with these, our Tumblr has also been recently renovated, so check it out!
As always, keep an eye out for more updates, coming soon! And come see us November 18th at the EUZINE fest. See you there!
Hey there everyone.
The biggest update done thus far on the Necanic dictionary was just applied to the website, and it increases the word count by almost five times the previous amount! A grammar guide will be soon to follow, in anticipation of the upcoming “Elvetacom Necanecum,” a guide to all things Necanic. This includes the full dictionary, alphabet (with how-to-write guide!), grammar guide, Necanic history, a short story, and much more!
Keep your eyes peeled for more info here, and in the meantime, check out the greatly expanded dictionary here: Dictionary
It’s been a little while since we’ve done an update here on the website, but I wanted to let you all know we’re still hard at work!
Currently, we’re overhauling all things Necanic in preparation for the release of a guide book, which will include the alphabet, a full English-to-Necanic dictionary, a short fable written in Necanic, and a brief history of the Necanecum. The whole thing is looking to be around ~70 pages, and we’ll have it available in the near future. Keep an eye out!
In other news, we’ve begun production on a new Prime, called Juggernaut, about which more information will be released in the near future. We’re also gearing up for another Zine fest, on November 18th. Stay tuned for location!
In the meantime, continue to check back here for more updates, art, and story. Send us an email if you have any questions, or are interested in ordering a print or the first issue of Necrophobia.
Here’s some snazzy new grammar rules:
When ordering sentences:
SUBJECT VERB OBJECT (FOR NOW)
A note on order: When declining a noun, it goes as follows: Who (i/you/they etc), tense, case, plurality. Ex: Rikvam = I will have (I-future perfect-nominative)
The cases are subject to change, seeing as we have a lot of them, but we’ll see.
Cases in Necanic:
- Nominative – subject of sentence – vam
- Accusative – direct object of action – sam
- Dative – for/by (a time) /to something (indirect object) – nam
- Ablative – by/with/from (out of)/about something (Adjectival) – kam
- Genitive – “of” something/possession (From a place, or possessive) – kom
- Locative – out/in/during – mom
- Instrumental – with/and – dam
- Terminative – until, as far as (extent to which) – rom
- Distributive – each – nom
- Interactive – among/restricted to – tom
- Transitive – through – gom
- (Perfect) Past: -e
- Present: -u
- Future: -i
- Imperfect: -ed
- Pluperfect: -ek
- Future Perfect: -ik
An example phrase:
Obeiatovumvam, Almetdamyr, Somnierael ken Vialanieriel. Uiarvam, Uiarbhohiemdam, vum sverir Uiarvoinamyr.
Translation: The Library, of the Librarians, Somnierael (Dark Librarian) and Vialanieriel (Light Librarian). Time, of Uiarbhohiem, who weaves the time-paths (time-streams).
I wanted to say thank you to all who came and supported us at the UO Zine Fest yesterday. It meant a lot to us, and it was great to hear what everyone thought about the project, and we were delighted to have actually sold all the copies we had of Necrophobia, and ran out of the Legacy teaser zines.
To those of you who come here from that zine fest, by way of our various flyers, prints, and zines, welcome! There’s a lot to explore here, with more being added all the time.
Also, to those who signed up for our print raffle, the results will be out tomorrow, and we’ll contact you for mailing information. We’ll likely be having another raffle in the near future, with more products like complete comics, Necanic goodies, and more.
Work is currently underway on the second issue of Necrophobia, and the first issues of Legacy and Vanguard are getting closer and closer to completion every day. Stay tuned for more updates!
As always, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop a comment here, or shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Now in the final stage of coming to print, the first complete issue of Necrophobia will soon be available in physical form! Keep an eye out for ordering info, coming in the near future.
Hey there everyone, it’s been awhile since I’ve made a post, so I figured I’d let you know we’re not all dead.
Currently, the team is hard at work finishing up the first issues of Vanguard and Legacy, and everything that goes into that (webcomic design, printing, etc.) Also, Necanic has had some major updates, including almost 200 new words!
Lore-wise, myself and a few of our writers are currently working on making all of that stuff much more readable and enjoyable, and actually making it available here on the website.
We’re going to be tabling at a small comics fest at the University of Oregon, so if you happen to be there (in the EMU building) on April 27th, from 1-5pm, come say hi! We’ll be giving away free stuff.
Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days!
We’re proud to announce that the first issue of our webcomic, Necrophobia, is fully completed. You can read it at https://necrophobia-comic.tumblr.com/post/158331117244.
Also, Necanic now has its first fully function font! You can download it here: http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/648376/Necanicv2.ttf
You’ll have to add it to your text-editing program manually, but it’s not too hard to do.
